Camp photos
Big thanks to the parents who attended camp and cooked, cleaned, supervised and feed the children while at Camp Kaitawa.
The children had a fantastic time, faced challenges and had a wonderful range of experiences. The van journey home was a lot quieter than the trip to Kaitawa!
Check out some of the experiences below - more photos will be shared soon. Please encourage the children to bring their cameras to school so we can collect a full range of photos to share.

Notice #3 (Please scroll down for # 1-9)
15 October
Dear Parents
Camp is close - a few reminders!
1. THANK YOU
Thank you for the return of the health and permission forms.
2. PAYMENT
Payment is due TUSEDAY 17.
3. GEAR CHECK
This Wednesday, I need all children to bring the following gear to school for a gear check (list is on class blog)
· 1 pair of covered shoes suitable for walking
· I x raincoat
· 2 x thermal tops
· 1 x thermal longs
· 1 x beanie (or other warm hat)
Remember if you have been unable to source any of the above from friends, op shops etc. I need to know.
N.B. Some children will be bringing in spare items that they are willing to share.
4. MEDICATION
If your child needs access to medication, I will need it handed to me at 8.45am Tuesday.
5. TIMES
We leave at 9.00am Tuesday 24. It would be great for Te Awanga children to be dropped off at 8.30am.
6. CHILI BINS
We need to borrow several large chili bins to transport food to Kaitawa. Please let me know if you have one available for us to use. (To be dropped off at school on Thursday)
7. BAKING
Each child is required to bring a small amount of baking for morning and afternoon teas. This can be brought in on Tuesday (camp) morning. Items that spoil quickly such as muffins are not advisable.
Please make sure that all baking is NUT and SESAME SEED free!
8. Life Jackets
If you have a child-sized life jacket in good condition, could you please let me know. We require a few extra life jackets to maximise kayak time.
9. Camp Cookout
The children have been placed in groups to organise a camp cookout on the first evening at Camp Kaitawa. This is a cooperative activity and not meant to be an expensive meal. Please advise your children if their ideas are not practical. They will be collaborating online using their Google Drive account so parents can keep an eye on their creation (They will have an open fire and two pots and utensils to cook their meal).
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
